My interior design seminars, webinars, and teleseminars are wonderful ways to learn about the fundamental principles of interior design and decorating that will enable you to be successful in your endeavors.
You may not be able to afford the full-blown services I offer as an interior designer, yet you need expert, knowledgeable guidance and instruction so that you do not waste your money. Ideally, it's about investing it properly. If you do not have lots of money lying around, then it behooves you to get it right, once, the first time. When you do not have a plan to get you from point A to point B, you will not get it right the first time. As you begin to adjust and correct various complications, you'll realize it's costing you even more of your time, effort, and money. It also means that as time passes, you're needing to wait for money to become available. All of these restrictions limit you, and produce serious unnecessary disappointments.
Everybody's looking to save money, and that's one part of the equation. The other part of the equation is getting what you need. There's no sense in saving money but not getting what you need! So let's not focus solely on the money, but also think about what you extremely want as your end result. Once the interior design and decorating work is complete, you do not focus on or even see your savings. You look around and cherish the beauty … assuming it's done right!
The vast majority of people do not understand what it takes to develop a brilliant design. They learn tips, tricks, and pointers from other people … but this will not get it. Most of the time the small tidbits of information just get people deeper in trouble! Then they're even more confused about how to get out of it.
You can not do well with anything unless you understand it. Take golf, for example. You can not do well at golf unless you know how to grip the club, stand and address the ball, and then follow through correctly. If you do not do these very basic things right, you'll become awfully frustrated. You'll be hooking and slicing, and you'll end up as a lost ball in tall weeds! Last time I checked, the fun was in the fairway, not in the weeds or in a bunker.
This is exactly the scenario that happens when people do not understand the principles and practices of interior design and decoration. And yet, they want a beautiful room or environment. How can this happen? Well, it can not !
These types of “catastrophes” happen all over the world. People may think they have a great looking room … maybe that's so. But where's the ambiance? Where's the feeling? It lacks richness, sophistication, and most notably, distinction. It really is not great looking. “Catastrophes” occurred because the creator lacks experience and knowledge.
Much of this damage has been done by HGTV. Granted, there are some good shows on that channel. But many are very amateur-ish and do not or can not show the real side of what undeniably great interior design is all about. Interior design is NOT ABOUT anyone coming in, not asking you very many questions, then asking or telling you to go away for week, and then … when you do come back, you're surprised at what they (or somebody else) has decided for you!
I've met two women from HGTV, and I was not impressed with either one of their portfolios. And yet they are on TV, along with dozens of others that are average and mediocre. Do not be fooled. Just because someone is on TV does not qualify him or her to be a real professional. I asked one of them, “How did you get to be on HGTV, and in front of the camera?” She answered, “It's because I was behind the camera.” I thought to myself, “Wow, that sure is a real set of credentials!” That's like me asking someone, “How did you become a doctor?” Then they answer me, “I watched every show of Dr. Markus Welby, and Gray's Anatomy, and now I'm qualified to be a doctor!”
You need to learn from someone who really knows what they're doing! My twins, webinars, and teleseminars are inexpensive yet valuable ways for you to get the right information that will help you create a very successful and pleasant interior design. You've got to learn the trade from someone who truly knows their stuff. One who has “hit the bulls-eye” each and every time, and has for years. With me, you'll learn from someone who can not only deliver the right “Look,” but the right “Ambiance” as well. It's in your best interest to choose the interior designer that is appropriate for you , your lifestyle, and your environment.
